The glow of someone who is warm and accepting of my autistic son is worth more to me than money.
It happened yesterday at a new gym, finding Trent an awesome training coach, among the supporting staff, and in the right environment. It was their openness and their desire to make Trent feel he has a place where he can be accepted among new friends. It was the discussion of plans to introduce Trent to boxing and swimming in addition to workout sessions. When Trent was handed a workout book along with a new shirt, he smiled and looked with an expression of willingness and trust. It doesn’t get better than that.
Ahh! Relief for now.
